A Mechanical Rail Creep Adjuster (1951)
Staff Instructional : Permanent Way Series
Produced on behalf of British Transport Films by World Wide Pictures
18 minutes

This film shows in some detail the adjustment of rail creep on a section of line where some expansion gaps have closed too much while others have opened too wide. A mechanical device, the creep adjuster, is used to correct rail creep. This is a horizontal screw jack which can be attached to the rail at a joint, and which can push or pull several hundred yards of rail at a time.
