On the day the Re-appraisal of the Plan for the Modernisation and Re-equipment of British Railways was published, Sir Brian Robertson, Chairman of the Commission, addressed the staff of the B.T.C. Headquarters by closed-circuit television. This is the film record of the occasion made for showing to British Railways staff all over the country. Sir Brian comments on the three parts of the Re-appraisal and urges all railway staff to regard it not only as a charter for the industry, but also as a personal challenge and call to action.
