Safety On Electrifed Lines (1961)
Produced on behalf of British Transport Films by Tara Films
Staff Instructional

Two of a series of safety films made for showing to railway staff in the areas of Britain where the 25KV AC single-phase overhead electric system has been introduced.

Part 1: Traffic Staff - 11 minutes
To ensure their own safety under the conditions brought about by electrification, traffic staff have to learn to change certain of their working habits so as to conform with the new rules and regulations.

Part 2: Rescue and First Aid - 14 minutes
Observance of basic rules and regulations will ensure safety but, should an accident occur, a knowledge of rescue procedure and the prompt and efficient rendering of artificial respiration - particularly the latest 'mouth-to-mouth' technique - can often save life.
