The day was in 1963 when, to celebrate the centenary of the world's first underground line - the Metropolitan Railway - London Transport arranged a parade of underground vehicles at Neasden. Special stands were erected so that the audience could see rolling stock dating from the inception of underground railways to the modern developments of the present day.
