Crossing The Railway Safely (1967)
10 minutes - Colour

Compared with the old type of gated, hand-operated railway-road level crossing, the new automatic half-carrier crossing, which is caused to operate by the approach of the train and which displays audible and visual warnings to road users, saves both time and money.
This film, for the instruction of school children, is commentated by Leslie Crowther. It demonstrated the proper and safe ways of using these crossings on foot and on bicycles.
