Land at the Junction of Millthorpe Lane and the main Chesterfield to Owler Bar road, near to the crash site and which had been selected as the most suitable site for the positioning of the memorial stone. A memorial garden has been created on the left, replacing the original overgrown shrubs shown here in April 2004.

In addition to the new memorial, it's planned to erect a public information board in Millthorpe at a future date which will offer information regarding both air crashes and general information of the Millthorpe area plus a marker in Stripes Wood at the site of the 1970 RF-4C crash.
